Serengeti and Zanzibar – The Masai, Wildlife and Spices
Experience the wide-open plains of Africa in the Serengeti and discover the eco-system of this African Eden. This tour offers a self-drive option in a hired four-wheel drive vehicle or one that is driver-guide accompanied.
The itinerary follows in the footsteps of Livingstone and the Leaky’s, details colonial influences and meets the proud Masai and, dependent on the time of year, also includes a glimpse of the annual migration.
Highlights of the tour include visits to the Ngorongoro Crater – home to about 30 000 animals, the Serengeti National Park that covers an area of about 30 000 km’s, cultural experiences and, time permitting, canoeing on Lake Victoria.
Some days can also be spent on the island of Zanzibar where you visit Stone Town, enjoy a dhow cruise and spend some time relaxing at a coastal resort.
The tour commences on arrival in Arusha and ends at the airport on departure from Zanzibar. You can join a scheduled group tour or allow us to tailor make a programme for you.
