Day 1: Depart for Madagascar
Flight connection to Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Arrival in Tana, meet and greet and transfer to Hotel.

Day 2: Tana to Morondova
Fly from Tana to Morondava. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Morondava lies in the west along the Mozambique Channel. The Morondava area was the centre of the Sakalava kingdom, a prosperous rice-growing area. It is also known as a seaside resort, with a laid-back atmosphere. Many different cultures and religions manage to intermingle in this region, which makes it very unique.

Day 3: Morondova – Bekopaka
Morning drive to Belo through the Baobab forest and the red soil of the west. Arrive in Belo around noon and board a boat for the onward journey to Bekopaka.
Arrival in Bekopaka around 18:00 and settle in at hotel.
O/N Orchidee de Bemaraha (b & b)
Day 4: Bekopaka
Enjoy a day excursion to the reserve of Tsingy de Bemaraha. This limestone mountain is an international heritage site. This massif is spectacularly eroded. Here nature seems to be in perfect harmony with this wild and sharp limestone mountain. Madagascar’s sole native banana, Musa perrieri, grows here. You might see the stump-tailed chameleon, there are seven species of lemurs and about 53 bird species.

Day 5: Bekopaka – Morondava
After breakfast, we drive back to Morondava making use of a 4 x 4 vehicle. En route we stop at Allee Des Baobabs for photo opportunities.
Arrive back in Morondava during the afternoon and check in at accommodation.
O/N Palissandre Resort (half board)
Day 6: Morondava – Tana – Andasibe
Transfer to Morondava airport to check in for flight to Tana. Arriving in Tana. Meet and greet and transfer to Andasibe. The drive will take you through the green landscape of the east. Arrive late afternoon and check in at accommodation.
O/N Vakona Forest Lodge (b & b)
Day 7: Andasibe – Tana
Depart for visit to Andasibe National Park. Visit the Special Reserve of Andasibe to see the Indri Indri, the biggest lemurs of the island. This 810 ha reserve has a unique variety of endemic fauna and flora. It contains a wide variety of orchids, canopy forest and endemic animals. After the visit drive back to Tana. En route stop at Mandraka to visit the private reserve of “Domaine Pyereras” where you can see different kinds of chameleons, snakes, lemurs and butterflies.

Day 8: Depart
Transfer to the airport to check-in for your return flight to Johannesburg.
