In the spirit of  ”Enough, for all, forever “and to maximise the quality of the travel experience for hosts and guests alike, we undertake to:

• Strengthen the conservation effort and enhance the natural integrity of places visited.
• Respect the sensitivities of other cultures.
• Be efficient in the use of natural resources such as water and energy.
• Ensure waste disposal has minimal environmental and aesthetic impact.
• Develop a recycling programme.
• Support suppliers (i.e. hotels, airlines and transport providers) with a conservation ethic.
• Endeavour to use our distribution networks i.e. marketing collateral, industry partners, etc. to raise environmental awareness amongst travellers.
• Support sustainable tourism training and education for guides and managers.
• Employ tour guides well-versed in and respectful of local cultures and environments.
• Give clients appropriate verbal and written educational material, interpretation and guidance with respect to the natural and cultural history of the areas visited.
• Use locally produced goods to benefit the local community and not buy goods made from threatened or endangered species.
• Never intentionally encourage the disturbance of wildlife or wildlife habitats.
• Keep vehicles to designated routes, roads and trails.
• Abide by the rules and regulations of natural areas.

Minimise social impacts

Be culturally sensitive and respect local customs – remember, you are a guest in local communities.
Try to allow adequate time to truly experience each place without having to rush.
Do not create tensions and encourage begging by handing out money to individuals, rather support organised community initiatives.

Maximise economic benefits

Spend money on local enterprises.
Buy goods that are locally produced and that use local skills and resources.
Do not encourage illegal trade by buying illegal substances or products made from endangered species.

Minimise environmental impacts.

Leave an area cleaner than when you found it.
Be efficient with natural resources such as water and energy.
Travel by your own muscle power wherever possible.
Stay on designated trails.
Be careful not to introduce exotic plants and animals.
Do not exploit resources when gathering natural fruit and other food.
Do not disturb wildlife or wildlife habitats.
Do not use soap or detergents in natural water bodies.
